Camp SOLID (Science of Learning Instrument Design) Day Camp Invites Kids to Create a Musical Instrument this Summer at The Sheldon! Camp Solid is a STEAM-based program that challenges students to design and create their own musical instruments by following the steps of the engineering cycle.
- One-day science and arts camp for kids in grades 3-5
- Friday, July 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Before and after care are available beginning at 7 a.m. and ending at 6 p.m.
Camp participants learn about the science of sound, with live music and science experiments on the concert hall stage, then create their own unique sound device from recycled materials. Campers work with professionals in science and the arts from the Saint Louis Science Center and The Sheldon!
Camp SOLID is $75 for camp only, $115 for camp plus before and after care. Financial assistance is available to those who qualify. Lunch and snacks are included.
