Take your students around the world with Link Up.

Be part of Link Up—the largest 3rd-5th grade music ensemble in the bi-state area! Experience the newly revamped program, “The Orchestra Moves,” featuring classical favorites alongside dance rhythms from Zimbabwe, Mexico, Israel, China, Brazil, and Uzbekistan, alongside classical favorites. Your students will be dancing in (and out of) their seats!

As a Link Up teacher, you’ll prepare your students in your classroom to perform the Link Up repertoire in a culminating concert with the SLSO. This interactive concert invites student participation through singing, dancing, and/or playing recorders or string instruments. Link Up is an empowering musical experience your students will never forget. Watch the video below to experience the excitement.

How to participate:

  • Choose your performance time: Wed, May 8, at 9:30am or 11:00am or Thurs, May 9, at 9:30am or 11:00am at the Touhill Performing Arts Center at UMSL.
  • Register your school by October 13.
  • Learn more about integrating the Link Up repertoire into your curriculum at the Professional Development Workshop on October 18.
  • Have fun discovering and learning with your students as they prepare for their SLSO debut.

Don’t miss this life-changing opportunity for students to experience the power of music. Together we can inspire students to get involved and stay involved in music!
