Teacher Concert & Curtain Talk at The Sheldon

Dear Teachers, We are pleased to offer you up to 4 complimentary tickets to see Carminho in concert at The Sheldon on Thursday, November 21 at 8pm!

Carminho is a Fado singer from Portugal. We’ve been describing fado around here as the Portuguese blues- the soulful and powerful singing is accompanied by guitar with themes of romance and longing and nostalgia. The concert is preceded by a curtain talk at 7pm by Mark Dowell, Lecturer in Spanish and Portuguese with the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Washington University.
