The Sheldon Sound Studio
Sheldon Sound Studio emphasizes the science, art, and technology of sound and challenges middle school students to create their own sound art that communicates a message.
Schools will receive six videos and lesson plans that span topics from how sound is produced to communication through sound to technology’s role in sound art. Kits with contact microphones and amplifiers provided.

The World Musical Instrument Collection consists of over 5,000 musical instruments from around the world dating from 1,000 BCE to the latest 2020 hand-held synthesizers. Created in these exhibits are memorable learning experiences of art, music and culture for all ages. Upon request selection instruments are provided for interactive hands-on experiences. Now schools can provide the opportunity for the entire school to experience educational artifact exhibits. These displays support the state and local curriculum in history, geography, social studies, multi-cultural awareness, science of sound, visual arts, music, and STEAM.
